Peoria police: Filiberto's owner accused in sexual assault by Cale Ottens - Aug. 2, 2011 01:34 PM The Arizona Republic-12 News Breaking News Team The owner of a Filiberto's Mexican Food restaurant near 91st Avenue and Union Hills Drive in Peoria is suspected of sexually assaulting an employee after she asked him to pay her for overtime, authorities said. Juan Castro, 41, threw a handful of cash at the 35-year-old woman and suggested that he could "pay her in other ways," after she demanded more money, said Peoria police spokesman Jay Davies. Police suspect Castro grabbed the employee's chest before she called police. He also is suspected of interfering with the emergency call when she first tried to call, but police responded anyway. Castro, a Peoria resident, was arrested at the restaurant on suspicion of sexual assault, which is a felony offense, Davies said. |
