Chandler woman accused of stabbing husband with sword

A Chandler woman has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing her husband with a sword after they had an argument, according to police.

Pamela Haas, 63, was arrested Sunday in her Chandler home on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and dangerous instrument.

According to her husband, Louis Haas, she stabbed him in the back of the arm after an argument in which he told her that he was going to leave her. [ I wonder if the guy is making up that line? ]

Louis Haas told police that she stabbed him by accident after he punched her several times in the head and stomach, according to court documents. She said that she grabbed the sword, which was mounted on a wall in their home's computer room, and told her husband to "please stop." When he came at her, she accidentally stabbed him, she told police. [ If you ask me is sounds like it was self defense. Even if she intentionally stabbed him. ]

Medical personnel did not immediately find redness or bruising on Pamela Haas.

Louis Haas was treated for an approximately two inch long and one inch deep stab wound at an area hospital, according to police documents.
