Scattered rain fell in parts of the Phoenix area and temperatures are below previous forecasted highs, prompting the National Weather Service to cancel an excessive heat warning.
Friday's temperatures were expected to reach 111, but outflow from a storm over Mexico moved north across Phoenix in the early hours of the morning. The expected high dropped to 105.
The storm also caused scattered rain across much of the Valley on Friday morning, but the chance of measurable precipitation remains at 10 percent.
The storm's outflow had the biggest impact on Friday's temperatures, but the forecast for the rest of the weekend also fell a few degrees.
"Temperatures should rebound tomorrow and pop back up to 110 degrees," said Paul Iniguez from the National Weather Service.
Labor Day is expected to remain clear and sunny throughout the afternoon with a high of 108 degrees. There is a 10 to 20 percent chance of rain on Monday after 4 p.m.
The low temperature throughout the holiday weekend is expected to hold steady at 88 degrees.

Last night I went to a car show in Mesa and I was surprised to see swamp coolers for cars.The swamp coolers, which are also called evaporator coolers or evaporative coolers are mounted on a side window and when the car is moving it causes air to blow thru the cooler, which causes water to evaporate in the cooler and then the cool moist air is then blown into the car.
